FEATURES

Engine

Boasting the latest generation in LC4c engines, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range muscles up with 399 cc, more power, smoother acceleration, and lighter overall weight than before. Drawing from years of experience in the small engine game, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE also features an improved gearbox and an optimized cylinder head.

Exhaust

TThe underbelly exhaust of the KTM 390 ADVENTURE offers improved ground clearance and better protection when tackling rough terrain. Positioned high and tight, it reduces the risk of damage from rocks and obstacles, ensuring reliable performance off-road. The design also contributes to better weight distribution, balance, enhancing the bike's agility and handling on challenging trail.

Frame

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE range features an ultra-lightweight yet extremely stable trellis 2-piece frame. This frame provides the backbone and is a major element accounting for its nimble handling and forgiving balance of flex and stiffness.

Ergonomics

Let's be clear about it—the KTM 390 ADVENTURE is all about hitting the tough stuff. It is designed to be an adventure machine, from its Rally-style windscreen to its offroad-focused footpegs. All-day riding comfort, supreme offroad agility, and unmatched rider involvement make the KTM 390 ADVENTURE the class leader when taking the path less travelled in complete control.

Suspension

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE features WP APEX 43 mm open cartridge USD forks with 200 mm of travel. The forks are fully-adjustable for compression and rebound in 30-clicks. At the rear, the 205mm long WP APEX Separate piston monoshock is rebound adjustable by 20 clicks, and the preload is 10-step adjustable with a tool.
This allows for fine-tuned comfort, control, and performance, easily handling rough terrain and obstacles.

Fuel Tank

What's an adventure without fuel range? The KTM 390 ADVENTURE boasts a 14-liter fuel capacity and exceptional fuel economy, making long jaunts into the faraway outdoors easy. What's more, the fuel tank represents a central element of the design and engineering, offering excellent ergonomics for riders of all sizes without sacrificing off-road handling.

Handlebar

Full control at your fingertips, thanks to a tapered aluminum handlebar that is perfectly fit for purpose. Not only do the bars provide the ideal riding position when seated or standing, it also provides the perch for the TFT menu switchgear which can be customized to personal preferences. For instance, riders can set their ABS and MTC settings to be easily accessed for quick toggling when the tarmac suddenly runs out.

Seats

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE’s low saddle height of 825mm/830mm offers easy accessibility for every rider, boosting the confidence & control, especially on uneven terrain. It ensures a more stable ride, making it perfect for both new and experienced riders who seek comfort without compromising off-road capability.

Footpegs

Wide, robust footpegs inspired by KTM offroad models hint at the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range party trick. With 2 adjustable positions—standing or seated—the footpegs are developed for all-day riding comfort. They are perfectly matched to both street and offroad boots and feature easy-to-remove rubber inserts for when the riding really gets rough.

Windshield

You'll no doubt hit some highways at some stage. Good thing, then, that the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range boasts a sturdy and efficient windshield. Thanks to its slim profile, the rider isn't obstructed when moving around the machine. It also offers an unobstructed view directly in front of the bike – even when covered in dirt.

Bodywork

The KTM 390 ADVENTURE features KTM-style bodywork and graphics, inspired by Rally racing. Its ergonomic design includes wider tank spoilers and rear panels for better control, and a fuel tank shape that allows freedom of movement. A robust engine guard protects the engine and exhaust off-road.

Comfort

Whether you're settled into a long homeward journey along the motorway or stood up on the pegs crushing a rough goat path, the seat on the KTM 390 ADVENTURE is ready to ride along. Narrow enough to allow for easy knee movement when standing on the pegs, and comfortable enough when sat down, it makes for the ideal perch for adventure riders.

LED Headlight

Some adventures take a little longer than others. However, thanks to ultra-bright state-of-the-art LED lights with position light on the KTM 390 ADVENTURE, you'll have no problems navigating your way home. The LEDs also take their design cues from the bigger KTM ADVENTURE machines, so they not only offer excellent illumination and visibility but are designed to be compact to reduce the overall volume of the motorcycle.

TFT Display

A state-of-the-art, full-color H50 TFT display adorns the cockpit of the KTM 390 ADVENTURE. This best-in-class display interface automatically adapts to variations in ambient light. For the best use of power, the rev counter blinks when it’s time to shift. The 5‘’ display is easy to read, and the main information is arranged in such a way that you can immediately see it. The rider can also easily select which information they want on the screen via the multi-functional menu switch on the handlebar. To top it all off, a USB C port is also fitted as standard.

Rider Aids

KTM develops electronic rider aids that provide more control and better performance for riders of all levels of ability, with the intention of enhancing the fun in all conditions.

Offroad Mode

When the tar road ends and the dirt track begins, KTM 390 ADVENTURE riders can simply switch to OFFROAD MODE. This allows a certain rear-wheel slip, meaning muddy puddles or thick sand is easily navigated. More so, the OFFROAD MTC system maintains its settings in the event of stalling the engine, meaning unwanted stops on steep hills require only a prod of the starter, and not a reset of the MTC settings, get going again.

Offroad ABS

Adventure motorcycling means traveling long distances and venturing into the unknown. For that reason, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE features a number of rider aids to cope with the unforeseen - like the offroad ABS mode. In this mode, ABS is completely deactivated on the rear wheel but only reduced on the front, meaning riders can lock up the rear wheel, allowing them to steer the rear end into corners. It also prevents over regulated front wheel braking, or the opposite of too much front brake pressure, ensuring the best stopping power in the dirt.
In the event of a restart after an engine stall, the ABS function retains it's memory, remaining engaged in offroad mode without the need to switch it off again.

MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control)

The MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) is a lean-angle sensitive traction control system that reacts immediately the instant rear wheel rotation speed becomes disproportionate to the riding situation. In mere milliseconds, MTC reduces engine output with an extremely smooth, barely perceptible intervention at the throttle valves until slippage is reduced to optimum proportions for the selected ride mode and current angle of lean.

Cornering ABS

KTM 390 ADVENTURE confidently carves up any road surface, thanks to its low center of gravity, nimble handling, and 21" front wheel. This also means you can grab a handful of brakes with total confidence thanks to high-tech Cornering MTC, Cornering ABS, and Offroad ABS. These allow riders to apply more power mid-corner on the tarmac and get the most out of the brakes.

KTM My Ride

With the KTM MY RIDE system, a smartphone can be tethered to the bike, allowing you to make phone calls, listen to music and use the optional turn-to-turn navigating app, all while keeping the adventure going.
